Again, even when you aren't having any fun!! I can't belive that its been a month already, but so much has gone on. Halloween was totaly awesome this year, Lily Rose had such a blast! Mason and I had our anniversary alone in Vegas, which was a little weird but so much fun. I swear I caught myself at least twice thinking "oh my god where did Noah go" and everytime I heard a "MOOOOM!" I would turn around. One of our stops was the wax museum because I wanted to see what it was all about. Even though its kinda small, its really cool because all of the wax people are out in the open where you can take pictures with them, and act silly. Which was of course, totally our style.
Mewhile, Miss Lily is getting bigger and bigger. You would think that by now I know how they get big so fast, but I swear I feel like she was just a baby a few months ago, and now its like she only needs me for food and to change her diaper.. and BARELY to do that! We had to start putting her jammies on backwards so the zipper is in the back ( I cut the feet out) so that she couldnt take off her clothes! We found her naked in bed at least 6 times until I got smarter then her. At least for the minute. This girl is TOO SMART. I swear I think she is a little grown up trapped in that baby body.
After about the 4th house on Halloween, Lily figured out what was going on, and from that point, there was no stopping her! We went out with Jen, Josh, and their kids, and Kimmie and Uncle John came too, and then Adam and his GF ended up with us too. It was lots of fun. We came back to the house and had some drinks, and ended up playing "Scene it" which was lots of fun. Now we are looking foward to Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and hoping to start the new year on a positive happy note. Even with all that is going on.
Is a married woman! I know, just saying the words out loud makes me want to cry. Friday was her wedding and it was totally beautiful. She looked amazing, John behaved himself, for the most part. The kids were good, Lily was adorable, although she didnt throw the flowers, at least not where she was supposed to.
Much to my suprise, my mom didnt "ugly cry" ONE TIME! I had money on the fact that when she walked Kim down to "In my daughters' eyes" that she would lose it, but apparently she had been listening to the song to desensitize herself to it. Wench.
The boys did great too, Noah stood the whole ceremony and didnt make a peep, although he did get tired of holding his pillow and gave it to Kyle about 6 minutes in. Then it was on to the fun part. The reception!
Mason and I had gone earlier in the day to set up all the tables, and blow up some balloons for the kids, which were a HUGE hit. All the kids played with the balloons the entire time. My mom had made little goody bags for all the kids too, so that they would have some toys to play with, and all of them did really well for the whole dinner and reception.
Well, its certainly been a LONG time since I posted. So much has been going on.. We are finally all settled into our apartment. I registered myself for school this semester and I am so excited to be on the road again. I've been so busy helping my sister plan her wedding and homework and work that I havent had much time for myself, but its good to be busy. Our anniversary is coming up next month, so we decided to head back to Vegas. I'm really looking forward to a weekend with just my hubby. On that note, I just re-joined weight watchers with the hopes of being down about 20lbs by our anniversary. Andrea is helping motivate me, since she has lost a ton with the program, so I am super excited. The boys just started school again, and Noah LOVES it this year. I'm hoping we can keep up the momentum and have a great year. His new teacher seems to be much more gentle and understanding then his teacher last year. Lily is growing like a little weed. We just had her 12month shots which were a little late, since she was at 15months when she had them.. But she is 31inches tall and weighs 27lbs. She finally weighs more then the cat! Here are some adorable pictures of all my monsters.
This was how I found miss Lil one day as she was taking a nap, she had decided to take her own diaper off.
Kim and Jon had a housewarming party, Lily seems to be warming up to her... or not.
Even when you are not having fun.. Its been quite the month. Mason and I had applied for our apartment at the beginning of June, and were waiting for our approval, which seemed like forever! We finally got news that we were approved on July 2nd, which made our 4th of July weekend so much better! So on July 3rd, we went to our annual 3rd of July Celebration at Fred Kelley stadium, which always brings back high school football memories, but is always so much fun! The kids had an absolute blast, I was a bit worried about Lily and the fireworks, but she was a total trooper. I laid down and put her head on my chest, and my hand over her ear, and she laid as still as a board the whole time. Since then, its been packing and moving, and we are FINALLY settled in. In other changes, Mason and I have decided that I should go back to work at St Joes, and get back into the nursing program.. so keep me in your prayers that everything works out!
Well, its been a long while since my last blog, and there is so much to catch up on I dont hardly know where to start.. So I wanted to share with you all a very interesting dream that I had, and how your subconcious is a very bizarre place... Just to back up a little, when Mason and I took our trip to Georgia, we went to look at this house that was litterally a mansion. It had probably 7 bedrooms, and 8 or 9 bath rooms, plus a media room, and a rediculous kitchen, it was totally insane... so anyway.. In my dream, I was having a party in this house. I swear, EVERYONE I knew from the past was there. People that I hadnt seen in years and years were there. Probably the most signifigant part of the dream was my friend Brandi. For those of you who know, she died the year before we were seniors. It was so vivid in my dream, that even now, I am getting huge goosebumps, and tearing up. She and I were walking through the house, and holding hands, and I said to her "Josh is here, and he still thinks you really died" now, these were the ONLY Words spoken in my dream, and the only thing that I can clearly remember. I was telling Mason about my dream the next morning, and it occured to me, that it was around this time that Brandi had passed. So the next day on my way to work I stopped by her site to visit. Brandi passed July 2nd, 1995, I had the dream exactly one week after that date. I'm sure that it means nothing more then my brain will always remember what a darling, sweet, caring, bubbly girl she was, and I can only hope that my Lily will be just as Brandi was. So here is to her, and hoping that her family is well, and that everyone lives their lives as she did. We will ALWAYS miss your bright heart my love. God bless.
and so can Daddy, and Uncle Jon, and Uncle JR.. Well its been a few weeks now, but we all had so much fun for Noah's birthday week. We started off with Disneyland before his bday, and then ON his actual day, which was the 4th, we went to Chuck E Cheese. This was Lily's 3rd trip, but the first one where she REALLY could get into some fun. Noah had a total blast, and we got TONS of tickets. Uncle Jon, and Daddy went nutso on the games and kept coming back to the table with more and more tickets.. Of course since it was Noah's birthday we let him spend most of them, and he decided on a gumball machine, and a tool set, "to help Daddy fix the house" SO CUTE! Then he let Kyle spend the rest of them... All in all it was a totally fun birthday week.
Almost forgot that Noah also got a package from Nannie Annie and Grandpa Russell in the middle of the week.. Lily was totally interested in the box, but the boys LOVED what was inside.. the new Mario Kart for the Wii and a new steering wheel controller. They have been playing it non stop.. including Dad!
So yesterday we went to DISNEYLAND!!! It was Noah and Mason's first time there, so it was very exciting. I barely slept the night before because I was so excited about going. Noah wasnt quite as excited though, and I was a bit bummed, but then I realized its hard to be really exciited about something, when you have NO idea what it is!! So Uncle Jon got us in at about 1230 and had given us all our own pin trading necklaces, we each had 4 pins. I was on a mission to get rid of all of mine by the end of the day, so right away I traded a lady for a Tinkerbell one. Now, if you dont know, you can trade with any park employee who has pins on, and they HAVE to give you their pins, its nuts! So we walked over to go on Indiana Jones, but it was closed for some reason, so our first ride was Pirates of the Carribean.. which Noah got a total kick out of. I loved that they had added Johnny Depp to it. *swoon* From there we went to The Haunted Mansion which I thought might scare him a little, but he LOVED IT.
So from there we went on Splash mountain and then went over to the Pirates Island, which the last time I was there, was Tom Sawyer Island. Noah again had a total blast running through the caves and playing with all the "piratey" things. So we wrapped it up and went back to see if Indiana was open yet, only to find out that Noah was about 3" too short, so he got very upset, and started crying. The guy gave us a pass that let us skip to the front of the line on any other ride that we wanted to, so we decided to try Big Thunder Railroad.. Now again I was a bit nervous because I thought it might be too much for Noah, but he squeeled the entire time, and we even got a "thats awesome dude" out of it.
After that we headed over to the Matterhorn, then over to "tomorrow land" where Noah got to drive in Autopia, but sat too close to the steering wheel, and gave hisself a bloody nose. He was fine though. The only ride of the day that he didnt like was Space Mountain! But we appeased him by letting him make his own lightsaber at the store.. Then we went and settled in for Fantasmic, which I had never seen, and the fireworks. We all had such a great day, and I am glad that my two first timers had such a great time.
Well I finally got miss Lily's one year pictures back from Sears, which I will NEVER go to again for pictures but thats another mess in itself.. anyhoo.. I cant believe what a ham this kid is. She loves to be the center of attention, and adores having her picture taken. She was all over this set like a movie star. I still cant get over the fact that she is already a year old. It seems like time goes by too quickly. Anyhoo.. enjoy my little angel's photo shoot.
Well Sunday was Miss Lily's first birthday party, and even though it was already 75 degrees at 9 am, I think it turned out pretty well. The morning was hectic, first Mason and I took all the stuff down to the park, and he came back here to help the boys fill up water balloons while I set up the party site. Then we switched, he came to the park with the boys and I went to pick up ice and Lily's adorable cake. We got back to the park just in time, right at 1pm, and grandpa and grandma sue were pulling up, Thea and Phil came with baby Evan (who Lily is going to marry) Auntie Jo, Uncle Jr, Danny, Kaitlyn, Auntie Kim and Jon all came shortly after then Miss Savannah and Summer came, and Auntie Drea. Lily had so much fun playing with Savannah in the pool, and the boys all had a blast playing with all the water guns... So I'd say that even though the cake started to melt, and it was way hot, we all had a very fun party.
I think the most fun part was watching my dainty (ya right) princess tear into her cake like it was the best thing ever. I didnt think for a second that she was going to be that into it!
Then Miss Lil got to open all of her fun presents, which at the time she wasnt all that excited about, because she was on overload I think... But when she got home, I have to say that the winner of the best present was the baby and stroller that Summer and Savannah got her. She walked back and forth with that yelling "baby" until it was time for bed. I loved all of her adorable outfits, and my sister got her a cute ducky that goes over the bathtub faucet.
I think the biggest hit of the day though, was the water guns....
SO THANK YOU!!!!! TO everyone who braved the heat to come celebrate with us!
My little angel came into this world. At 12:59 this morning miss Lily was officially a one year old. When I think back at all we have gone through with her in the last year, I am so thankful that she is happy and healthy now. From this tiny fraile little blob, into a bulldozer with a skirt on. She is such a light of joy in all of our lives, I cant imagine how life was before her. Even her brothers are totally smitten with her, its hard not to be with such a radiant little personality.
